A Note from Reddam ELS Principal:

At Reddam Early Learning School, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nick and his team from First
Notes delivering our Music, Dance and Drama program for children aged 1 to 6 years coming up to
a decade. Nick and his team bring an infectious energy, creativity and professionalism to every
session, creating engaging experiences that support children’s confidence, self-expression and love
of the arts.

Nick and his team have a remarkable ability to connect with children across all age groups. Their
sessions are thoughtfully planned, developmentally appropriate and inclusive, allowing even our
youngest learners to participate meaningfully while extending and challenging our older children.
Through music, movement and dramatic play, children are encouraged to explore rhythm,
coordination, imagination and emotional expression in a fun and supportive environment.

We consistently see children eagerly anticipating Nick and his team’s classes, confidently participating, and carrying their learning into the classroom through song, movement and role-play.

They are a valued part of our community, working collaboratively with educators to align their
sessions with our curriculum and philosophy.
Nick and his team’s passion for early childhood education and the performing arts is evident in every
class, and their contribution greatly enriches the learning experiences of our children at Reddam Early Learning School.

Dean Kelemen, Principal

It is my pleasure to share my appreciation for Nick and his curriculum. I have worked professionally with Nick for over five years.  Our children adore him and they ask most days, "Is it Music day today?". The interactions with each child are inspirational. The children respond well to his teaching methods and the lessons are fun, full of laughs and movement. Nick's lesson plans are engaging and interesting, Nick plans for his lessons to correlate with our termly provocations and interests.

He engages with the children in an authentic manner, getting down to their level and making each child feel comfortable during his lessons. I have observed Nick understanding each child's capabilities. Nick tailors his lessons and one to one interactions to build each child's self confidence and individuality.

Nick is an invaluable member of our teaching team.

-Jane, Educator

Nick is not just a teacher; he is a musical mentor who transforms each lesson into a journey of discovery and joy. He has a rare gift for making music come alive, captivating even the most hesitant young learners with his infectious enthusiasm and boundless patience. Nick combines expertise with a vibrant enthusiasm that captivates children – even the younger ones – to participate in his classes actively. Our children have flourished under his guidance, not only mastering new instruments and techniques but also gaining confidence in their abilities and love for music. From the moment Nick steps into our classroom to the end of the class, the children can’t help but jump, dance, shake, and smile with joy.

We have been delighted to have Nick from First Note Music join us since May 2024. Nick brings a remarkable blend of talent, knowledge, and fun to our music classes. His teaching style captivates children by integrating engaging activities that make learning enjoyable. One of the highlights has been the marching games he introduced, which keep the children actively participating and excited. Moreover, his approach of alternating songs weekly ensures that the classes remain dynamic and interactive, fostering a love for music among the children. Nick's dedication to making learning fun is truly commendable.

After multiple unsuccessful trials with other companies, we came across First Notes music!. In the short time Nick has been attending the service we have been able to see his true passion behind what he does. Nick is always proactive and always checks in to see if he can do anything to improve himself / his lessons. Music lessons are now something that the children look forward to and are continuously talking about. Words really can't describe how much we appreciate Nick and we would recommend First Notes music to anyone who would listen.
